Proofpoint Signs Definitive Agreement to Acquire Illusive

SUNNYVALE, Calif., December 12, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Proofpoint Inc., a leading cybersecurity and compliance company, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Illusory, a leader and innovator in Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR)​. The acquisition is expected to close by January 2023, subject to customary closing conditions.

With this acquisition, Proofpoint will extend its market-leading threat and intelligence protection platforms by adding proactive identity risk detection and remediation, strong breach resilience, and delivering a unified solution that extends protection for critical threats across the entire attack chain such as Ransomware and data breaches.
