A China expert warned of this Wladimir Putin could be involved Beijing’s spy balloon shot down by the US military last week.

What happened: Gordon ChangAuthor and Senior Fellow of the Gatestone Institute, narrated CNN that Russia and China are forming “enchanting partnerships” that may have involved Putin shot down the objects over North America.

“The objects shot down on Friday and Saturday entered North American airspace from the north, meaning they probably flew over Russia,” Chang said.

Chang added that there could be three possibilities, including this one the balloon could perhaps be a “Russian object”. The other possibilities were that China may have launched it from Russia, or “maybe China launched them from China, but they were hovering over Russia, meaning Russia presumably agreed to that.”

Chang also noted the growing ties between Russia and China and Beijing’s support for Putin’s unprecedented war in Ukraine. “We know that China’s top diplomat will be in Moscow in a few days following a few weeks when the deputy foreign minister went to Moscow; Xi Jinping, the Chinese ruler, is scheduled to visit Moscow this year, and we have seen China do everything in Russia’s war against Ukraine. So the conclusion is that China and Russia form charming partnerships,” Chang said.

The expert also warned against this growing possibility of global conflict “if not World War III”.

On Tuesday, Chang tweeted: “We will be in combat soon. This is ensured by China and Russia, which are driving events. We stand at the end of decades of universal peace.”
