Steven Cohen’s $24 billion hedge fund increased its stake in 2 tech dividends…

Steven Cohen is owner of the New York Mets and founder and hedge fund manager of Point72 Asset Management. Cohen bought the Mets for about $2.4 billion in 2020, which was a record-breaking sale price for one The then MLB team.

Cohen is also an avid art collector, owning over $1 billion worth of pieces by famous artists such as Picasso and Andy Warhol. His hedge fund has a total portfolio value of over $24 billion and a 10-year performance of 62.2%, though the fund is down about 20.4% over the past year, according to Stock Circle.

Here are four dividend stocks that Cohen opened a position in or bought additional shares in.

Fidelity National Information Services Inc. FIS offers a dividend yield of 3.06%, or $1.88 per share annually through quarterly payments, with a decent track record of increasing its dividends for two straight years. Fidelity National Information Services acquired Sungard in 2015 and now provides records and other services investment firms. Fidelity National Information Services also provides core and payment processing services for banks.

Point72 increased its stake in Fidelity National Information Services by more than 1.3 million shares, or about 68%, during the third quarter.

Juniper Networks Inc. JNPR offers a dividend yield of 2.66%, or 84 cents per share annually, makes quarterly payments, and has increased its dividends once in the past year. Juniper Networks is a California-based communications equipment company that develops networking products including routers, switches, network management software and network security products.

Cohen increased the fund’s holding in Juniper Networks by about 376%, or more than 4.9 million shares, during the third quarter. Point72 also purchased 86 calling plans on Juniper Networks.
