Vegas Movie Awards™ (www.vegasmovieawards.com) is taking Las Vegas by storm, making the entertainment capital of the world one of the most interesting and desirable movie destinations.

Vegas Movie Awards™ is among the TOP 5 top rated festivals on FilmFreeway, out of over 12,000 international film festivals. So far it has been welcomed and awarded Academy Awards®, Emmys®, Golden Globes®, and BAFTA®-Award-winning directors and actors including Olivia Colman, Marisa Tomei, William Baldwin, Gerard Depardieu, Tom Hanks, Helena Bonham-Carter, Will Ferrell, Ron Perlman, Vinnie Jones, Malcolm McDowell, Cloris Leachman and Olympia Dukakis. To name just a few.

Festival director Sergio Barbasso works tirelessly with local non-profit organizations, government agencies and film schools. He writes books, teaches seminars, and creates new opportunities to help students and veteran filmmakers develop their talents. Its mission is to create a large, strong and unified community of filmmakers right in the heart of Las Vegas.

During the pandemic, hundreds of directors, producers, and actors relocated from California to Nevada, where they haven’t necessarily found a support system that would allow them to grow and thrive. Las Vegas attracts high-profile talent and celebrities, but it’s more focused on producing live events and sports videos than films. Film crews were usually hauled out of Los Angeles — but now they’re staying in southern Nevada. Mark Wahlberg recently announced that Las Vegas has been his new home for several months.

In the last 4 years, Sergio Barbasso has done a lot to show the world that Las Vegas is more than just Sin City or the marriage capital of the world.
