donald trumpspeaking at a rally in Davenport, Iowa, heavily criticized the foreign policy of the President Joe Biden.

What happened: Trump, who is running for president in 2024, said the “world is in serious trouble” because the United States is no longer leading it.

Trump cited a recent “deal” between Saudi Arabia and Iran, facilitated by China, to underscore the US’ loss of global leadership.

Video of the speech was shared on Twitter by Forbes on Tuesday.

“Things are happening that are unprecedented, the Biden administration has pushed Russia straight into the arms of China, something that is unacceptable,” Trump said.

As another example of the Biden administration’s foreign policy failures, Trump highlighted Iran’s improved financial position under the Biden administration.

The former president said: “I don’t think we’ve ever had a more dangerous time for this country and for the world.”

“I stand before you today and I am the only candidate who can make that promise – I will prevent World War III.”

Why it matters: Earlier, Trump said in a written response to Fox News Tucker Carlson that if he became the next president, the scale of US funding to Ukraine would increase dependent on his meeting with the Russian President Wladimir Putin.

Despite this, Trump’s plan to end the Ukraine war worked pulled flak from his critics. Earlier this year, Trump said he could end the war in 24 hours.

It’s also not the first time Trump has warned of a full-scale Armageddon, in January he warned that the US was saying “exactly the wrong thing” about the ongoing conflict lead to World War III.
