donald trump succeeds Florida’s Republican governor Ron DeSantis iAccording to a survey by GOP firm Public Opinion Strategies, there are two key swing states when it comes to beating President Joe Biden.

What happened: The April 11-13 poll found DeSantis has a 45% to 42% lead over Biden in Pennsylvania, while Trump trails the incumbent by 42% to 46%. reported The Miami Herald.

The same poll shows DeSantis leading Biden 48% to 42% in Arizona and Trump trailing Biden 42% to 45%.

Another concern for the former president could be how voters perceive him across the two states. According to the report, in Pennsylvania, 56% of voters have a negative opinion of him, compared to 40% who think positively of him.

In Arizona, 58% of voters are positive about Trump, while 40% are negative.

Why it matters: Public Opinion Strategies surveyed 500 registered voters in the two states. The leads in Arizona and Pennsylvania are below the 4.4 percentage point margin of error.

Biden’s lead over Trump in the two states is not significant. However, it’s unlikely that a significant portion of voters in the two states will vote for Trump in 2024, the Herald noted.

56 percent in Pennsylvania and 55 percent of voters in Arizona said they were unlikely to vote for the former US leader, according to the poll, according to the report.

Last week it was reported that since Trump got charged and arrested he’s gaining support among Republican voters. A recent poll conducted by Morning Consult found that Trump had done so 56% support among Republican voters, while DeSantis came in second with 23% of the vote.
