Trump’s Mar-A-Lago probe: Secret service agents to testify?

Several US Secret Service agents are reportedly set to testify against the former president as part of a federal investigation donald trump‘S improper handling of secret documents.

What happened: Fox News’s Bret Baier said Monday on Twitter that “several” Secret Service agents linked to Trump have been subpoenaed and are “expected to testify before the DC grand jury on Friday.”

“The grand jury’s appearances are related to the special counsel JackSmith probe into the Dealing with secret documents in Mar-a-Lago,” Baier tweeted.

Baier did not provide any additional information on possible upcoming testimony from the Secret Service, but said that testimony is expected to take place on April 7th.

The ex-president is said to be under scrutiny Misuse of Confidential Materials recovered from his property in Mar-a-Lago in August last year.

The Washington Post reported earlier this week New evidence suggests Trump obstructed an investigation in his improper handling of classified documents. The Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have collected new evidence that Trump may have tried to prevent an investigation into classified documents, they said.

In the meantime, Trump, indicted on Thursday in one another investigation by the Manhattan Grand Jury in New Yorkdenied any wrongdoing in those cases, claiming they were politically motivated.
