US prepares another military package for Ukraine as Putin says ‘no’

The US is preparing another big arms package for Kyiv as Russian President Wladimir Putin said he had “no doubt” that Russia would emerge victorious from the war against Ukraine.

The Biden administration is not expected to approve American M1 Abrams tanks, sources told the publication, adding that the reluctance was due to the tanks’ logistical and maintenance challenges.

The package is expected to be unveiled on Friday when senior military leaders from around the world gather in Germany to discuss ways Help Ukraine in the fight against Putin, it added.
